All dogs are delightful in their unique ways, but some truly captivate our hearts and eyes. Imagine a pup with a mustache or a canine with mismatched eyes. One pit bull puppy, however, stole the limelight with her peculiar ear shape.
In January, a rescue group named Pit Sisters found a litter of ten five-week-old pit bull puppies abandoned and in poor health. These puppies were malnourished, dirty, and likely deserted by an irresponsible owner.
The Pit Sisters provided much-needed love and care, returning them to health. While all the pups were cute, one stood out with her unusual ears.
One of the puppies had curled ears reminiscent of cinnamon rolls, hence her name, Cinnamon. Some even compare her look to a lady with hair curlers. But we think “Cinnamon” suits her better.
Jen Deane, president of Pit Sisters, was astounded by Cinnamon’s unique feature. “I’ve never seen a dog with ears like hers,” she said. “Everyone can’t believe how adorable she is … and she’s even cuter in person!”
Cinnamon isn’t just about looks; her personality is as unique as her ears. She’s feisty, sweet, and gets along well with other dogs. Her quirky and fun personality matches her distinct appearance, making her a favorite among the rescuers.
Cinnamon quickly became an internet sensation after the rescue team shared her story on social media.
It didn’t take long for Cinnamon to find a loving home. Laurie Locashio McGovern adopted her and gave her a new lease on life. As Cinnamon grew, her iconic curls, and she was renamed Kira.
Despite the name change and outgrowing her unique look, Cinnamon/Kira remains a beautiful dog. She’s a testament to the transformative power of love and care.
Pit Sisters expressed their delight at the attention Cinnamon received. “Our mission is to educate, advocate, and rescue dogs with no voices,” they said.
