Golden Retriever Experiences a Seizure, His Companion Brings Him Down Safely

Meet Laker, a golden retriever with a challenging history. Since he was just a puppy, he’s been dealing with seizures. When he was six months old, a vet specializing in canine neurology confirmed his condition and started him on medication.

Thankfully, the treatment has helped manage his seizures, but there are still moments of distress. When these psychomotor seizures strike, Laker runs wildly, cries out, and appears extremely confused.

Here’s where things take an unexpected turn. I recently bought a Furbo dog camera, which revealed a heartwarming surprise. Roxy, our Catahoula cur, has been stepping in to comfort Laker during his episodes. This is something she wasn’t trained to do. Their bond is extraordinary, and you can see it in their daily interactions. They truly care for each other.

Roxy is always protective of our family, so her caring for Laker isn’t entirely surprising. However, it is a blessing and a delightful surprise to witness her intuitive ability to help him.

Feel free to ‘SHARE’ this touching story of canine companionship with friends and family.
