“One day, an elderly, weary-looking dog meandered into my garden. His collar and well-nourished physique indicated that he was no stray and was loved and cared for,” the woman shares.
“This gentle creature approached me, allowing me to pat his head. He then followed me indoors, strolled through the hallway, and nestled himself in a cozy corner for a nap. An hour later, he roused from his slumber, walked towards the door and I let him out.”
“Like clockwork, he returned the next day, greeted me in the yard, and once again found his favourite spot in the hallway for his afternoon nap. This unusual routine continued sporadically over several weeks.”
Driven by curiosity, the woman attached a note to the dog’s collar: “I am eager to find out who the owner of this adorable and sweet-natured dog is. Are you aware that your dog has been visiting my house almost every afternoon for a nap?”
The following day, the dog turned up for his usual nap time, but this time with a different note attached to his collar: “He resides in a bustling home with six children, two of whom are toddlers. He’s merely trying to catch up on his sleep. May I accompany him tomorrow?”
