In a touching story of kindness and companionship, an abandoned puppy found comfort with a compassionate couple who welcomed him into their home.
Stoyan and Dessy, a pair from Bulgaria, have no official ties to animal rescue organizations. However, they’ve taken it upon themselves to help the numerous abandoned pets in their country.
The couple has provided a haven for four cats rescued from harsh street life. Two of these feline friends live with them, and Dessy’s mother takes care of the other two. This animal-loving family dreams of building a shelter to extend its reach and help even more stray animals.
Stoyan and Dessy’s love for animals made it impossible to ignore a small puppy desperately seeking their attention. They first spotted the little one outside a grocery store, where his ragged appearance indicated he was without a home.
After offering him some sausages, they began their journey home, only to find the brave pup trailing behind them. Despite the long distance, the puppy followed them to their house.
On reaching their home, the puppy hesitated to enter, unfamiliar with the warmth of a welcoming home. Once inside, they fed him and bathed him. After his bath, they swaddled him in a warm towel and dried him with a heater. His eyes grew heavy, and his body relaxed in the comforting environment. He looked so cozy that he almost dozed off while sitting up.
In the conclusion of their video, Stoyan shared, “He may not be a special breed, but he deserves to be loved and to have a home. They all have souls just like us, and I will never understand how people can abandon them. Adopt. Save a life.”
